has anyone watch the movie "Into The Wild" ?

my co-worker says to rent the movie, i never heard of it. has anyone seen it? is it worth watching the movie? my friend says it was based on a true story and to watch it. i need opinions....

Yeah its definetely worth renting but if you read at all my advice is to check out the original book from your local library. movie does the story and purpose no justice.

yeah read the book, the movie isnt bad, sean penn directed it, its cool that emile hirsch and him have worked on a few movies together

I thought the movie was so boring I couldn't even finish it. Wait . . . maybe I did finish it, but I had to fast forward. I can't remember, probably because I was so underwhelmed.

I thought the book was much better than the movie, but was still greatly unimpressed by it, given how much people gush over it (and not the good way like Doxx was talking about).
