The San Francisco 49ers were notified by the NFL on Thursday that Walt Harris has been named to the NFC roster of the 2007 Pro Bowl. Harris replaces Philadelphia Eagles CB Lito Sheppard who is unable to participate due to injury.

This will be Harris’s first Pro Bowl appearance. The cornerback proved to be one of the best free agent acquisitions in the NFL, leading the team with a career-high six interceptions. The 11-year veteran from Mississippi State intercepted a career-high three passes against the Oakland Raiders (10-8-06), good for second in team history for a single game. He was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts. Harris was an opportunistic defender in the month of November, accounting for three interceptions in the 49ers four games. Harris also added 19 tackles and one forced fumble in November and was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month.

He joins G Larry Allen and RB Frank Gore on the NFC Pro Bowl squad.

He shoulda been startin anyway, but its all good. And Fatal I hope you're right about Samuel. I definately want to see 2 players out of my top 4 on the 9ers next year fo sho. Either Lance Briggs, Adalius Thomas, Asante Samuel or Nate Clements. Can't wait for the draft either, cuze I really have no idea on which direction the 9ers are goin. For some reason I think they might draft a WR, or maybe Leon Hall if he is avaliable.

Asante Samuel is the best defensive player available. The Niners have enough money to scoop him and Lance Briggs up. That would be sick. But they are fuckin morons if they don't make a good offer to Samuel and really try to get him.

I'm hoping the Browns make a big push for Samuel as well.

With our DB's hurting and Romeo being familiar with him...it makes sense. And having 30 something million to spend doesn't hurt either!

It would make sense, but I hope they don't get him. LOL.

The Niners need to beef up their secondary, and Samuel is the obvious choice. I've been saying it since I first heard he would be a free agent next season. When I talk about him most people don't know who the fuck he is.. To me, that's a good thing. It just means he's young. When I say "the dude that picked off Peyton and took it to the house," then they know who the fuck I'm talking about.
