May Day

Down here folx from Fl, AL, Ga go to this spot deep off in the country in a lil town called Hurtsboro,AL to celebrate May Day, a freaknick commemorating the day the black slaves in the town found out they were free...it's not unitl the 28th of this month though. If I go I will try to bring back some pix and post e'm in i\I-candy forum...

May Day is . . . .

May 1st, International Workers' Day, commemorates the historic struggle of working people throughout the world, and is recognized in every country except the United States, Canada, and South Africa. This despite the fact that the holiday began in the 1880s in the United States, with the fight for an eight-hour work day.
