Today I celebrate the 230th birthday of my beloved Marine Corps. I still have many close friends fighting for our country today overseas in Iraq. Some of these friends have departed on their missions, never to return home to their loving friends and families. These warriors make the ultimate sacrifice for our country and corps. They will never be forgotten.

Ironically today is also the 1 year anniversary of a friend of mines last day with us:

Marine Lance Cpl. Erick J. Hodges , 21, of Bay Point, California.

Hodges died as a result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.
He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine
Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.
Died on November 10, 2004.

Please don't forget our fallen Marines and support our troops regardless of your opinion of this war.

Once a Marine, always a Marine!

Semper Fidelis,

US Marine Sgt. Raider Rick

I just had a question for you. Do most Marines have a problem with the Air Force troops and why? The few marines that I've run into talk a lot of shit to the us for no reason. Just a question.

word....marine cpl here checking in. just had our ball this weekend. its a motviating time of year.

as far as the air force goes...honestly, yall got it made. i mean, from what I MYSELF experienced. on our way into iraq we stopped at Ali Asalim or some shit which is an air force base in kuwait. NICE!!! i mean, air force still managed to throw me and the rest of my unit in some flooded torn down tents with no light at the bottom of the hill when it rained for a week straight; but when we walked up the hill to the chowhall you got the nice exchange fully stocked with new cd releases and ps2 games, your forward chow hall is better then ours here in san diego, fully stocked with cokes pepsis and gatorades. fully functional computers, free dsn phones....EVERYTHING!!! c'mon, when i got to iraq we aint had none of those luxuries. thats where the "hostility" comes from. however i have no problem with you all personally.

happy birthday marines
god bless those who've lost their lives
