Happy B-day

Quick shit I just thought of just felt like writing it.

Take away our Martins our Malcolms our medgars
then turn around and call us niggas and beggars,
all we wanted was our respect man
We the brothas still not part of the American fam,

damn you want peace or the piece?
we wanted your hand, but you gave a "hand"
and said we suckin off sam,
but sams the same man that let the pigs and klan
feed off our misery for years and still sent us to NAm,

"Equal" in death, but not equal in breath
I guess cuz thats the only time we see that dream
on that bed of death.

People like Martin Luther King is what our generation is missing...

I dont think America can produce men like this any more...sad to say but we have no leaders of this caliber and most Americans are more interested in whats happening on Jersey Shore than what going on in their own communities...mutha fuckaz are to comfortable and content with the way things are to make a change...Martins probably turnin in his grave to see how our communities are and how we treat eachother...its funny cuz white ppl are the least of our problem now...we got to worry more about ppl that look just like us taken our shit, tryna get over us, or gunning us down in the streets...how times have changed since his days

Any ways R.I.P Martin your words are still being learned...

^^ i dont think its that, or at least i would hate to think so.
I think our government has just become significantly more efficient in keeping us all in check, when I look at issues that a lot of illegal immigrants are facing, specifically those just tryna get some funding for an education, the gov just wont put up with it, and while i understand that Dr. King fought for something greater, the inequality is still there, many of the same core problems still exist and i dont think its our people that are the problem, but our government who has chosen to rebuild some foreign nation instead of increasing the quality of life here at home.
either way Dr. King is resting but if he were here be assured he would say we still have far togo
