For those who are fed up with using on-screen controls to play ROMs on their Android tablet or smartphone, the good folks at Dancing Pixel Studios have created an app that allows you to wirelessly connect a PlayStation 3 DualShock 3 or Sixaxis controller to your device.

Spotted on Joystiq, the Sixaxis Controller app links the controller and Android device via Bluetooth. Unfortunately, the app is not compatible with every Android device, only works with rooted devices, and includes a decent number of steps required to make the whole linkage complete. If everything goes as planned, you can sync up to four controllers to a single smartphone or tablet.

The Sixaxis Controller app is available for $1.67 in the Android Marketplace. To ensure that the app will play well with your device, pick up their free Sixaxis Compatibility Checker app before dropping the dough.

you could just set the controls
w a s d for walking around, the mouse for looking around, click to shoot, some other button to zoom, space bar to jump. would take a couple mins but would be easy and very customizable
