Guitar Question

Im tryna figure out what kinda guitar is being used on a few tracks...it doesn't sound like an acoustic but it definetly doesnt have an electric feel...It was used in songs like "Tough Love" by Devin, "Get 2gether Again" by DJ Quik, alot old Warren G and Sick Wid It albums...I was thinking maybe an electric not hooked to an amp or an acoustic-electric..anyone know? Im tryna start learning the guitar soon...

I dont listen to rock often but I like stuff like Linkin Park, Rage, Nirvana and some old school rock like Hendrix, Pink Floyd, the doors etc.

Likely enough, it's just a clean strat without much in the way of effects. Are you talking about a rhythm guitar part or a lead or what?

bumpus is correct. it's a dry strat, maybe a little reverb.

actually its a gibson les paul with TONS of overdrive on it and some phaser effects on it as well.
