Gucci Mane was sentenced to 12 months in prison on Thursday (November 12) for probation violation and taken away to prison in handcuffs, according to a rep from his label. The sentence is a blow to Gucci’s career. The ATL rapper has a album coming out — The State Vs. Radrick Davis — on December 8 and is arguably at the height of his career; in terms of his sentence, he may be out of prison in six months.

well.... he was sentenced to a year in prison for failing to fulfill his court-ordered 600 hours of community service, which had been mandated in 2005.




maybe if he would have done that there would be no issue. i mean it must be hard to fit in 150 hours a year (2.88 hours a week) towards communty service. but between recording and touring and partying what was a man to do?

exactly, and im guessing he hadnt started any of that 600 hours thats why they sentenced him, if he would have made some effort and done even half they probably would have worked with him.

i mean even 1 hour a week at any local boys and girls club or anything of the sort is sooooooo hard!


I volunteer and coach little league sports every year do it all for free because I enjoy it and like to see kids off streets learning something.

he'll b good. alot more people know who he is now. going to jail around the time the LP drops is promotion now. cant believe some of yall dont see that. Didnt Snoop, Lil Wayne, Boosie, & T.I. do same shit?
