got fucked with by the po, what should i do?

ok heres the situation....

im drivin on 101 2day and i moved into the carpool lane for a few min cuz there was heavy traffic, and this pig pulls me over for it. since there was construction going on, the next place i could pull over wasnt for about a minute, and when i did finally get off the freeway, it was a in a GHETTO ASS area, and believe me, it wasnt pretty (dont wanna give out locations). so the cop stays in his car and radios for backup. he waits till the 2nd pig comes and they both walk up 2 me. i give him my license and reg and he tells me to GIVE HIM my keys (i have a 5.0, so u can imagine how i felt about that). so i gave it to him and then the other cop tells me to pop the hood and he begins looking. when he noticed it was koo, i got back in the car and they gave me the ticket to sign. so the copz leave and as i go to start my car, i realize i DONT HAVE MY KEYS, the cop still does. so he cuts out down 101 and i was able to flag the other cop barely b4 he was gone. so he radios the other one and he comes back about 10 min later and laughs like it was nothing.

do u think i can get the ticket reversed cuz of this? i didnt think it was very funny sitting in a foreign hood with fools starin at my ride and sitting there like a stuck deer.

what should i do?

shit like that happens to me alllll the time. they pull me over for bullshit reasons and wind up giving me bullshit tickets... they'll say i got bad tags on my car when i don't, or say i ran some red light back there or went through a stop sign or whatever... and i go to court and plead not guilty and then go to trial. if the cop actually shows up (which is 50/50, so everyone should always fight a ticket) i tell my story then the cop tells his. the judge will always side with the cop but at least he'll lower the original fine for you.

basically, just fight the ticket. if you want you can tell the judge how they treated you but i don't think it'll make a difference. of course the cop aint gonna admit to shit and the judge more than likely won't care anyway.

that's just the sad reality we live in.

but if you're seriously pissed off, i think the most you'll be able to do is file a complaint with the city.

i don't think you'll get lucky enough to get the ticket taken off though. but like i said you might get lucky and the cop may not show up to court anyway. i'm on your side though so good luck...

All the judge ever does is say that there is no proof, and that, knowing they will side wit tha pig, say that " it was probably jst an accident". But like thumper said we wit you so if you gon fight it good luck, but if not just pay the ticket and smile at that cop everytime you see him. That pisses em off!!!!!

1st thing was you should never have given them your keys nor consented to an illegal search of your car. I don't think you got a case unless you would have protested the search and refused to give them your keys. They can say whatever they want about "we have probable cause to search your car" but they don't. They would need a search warrant or a dog to come out and sniff it before they can open your hood/trunk. I doubt they would have gone through all that. You have rights. Don't let them intimidate you. If you fight it, they are just going to say that you consented to the search and they made an honest mistake of forgetting to return your keys. Not saying that is an excuse but if you fight that part about being in a "dangerous" hood and you were worried about your safety, then you are gonna need a good lawyer for that.
