" Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie said yesterday that the final entertainment lineup for the event includes honky tonk, country, a little gospel, Christian rock, and some Southern-fried favorites. Sophisticated jazz, urban R & B and headbanger indie music will be in short supply. "

"Other performers in President Bush's corner include musical performers Lynyrd Skynyrd, Chaka Khan, Kid Rock, Ricky Martin, Lee Greenwood, Britney Spears and Steven Tyler."

someone let Tabou know about this, maybe he can be part of this line up.

its funny how when liberals/dems get minorities its called "reaching out" and when conservatives/reps get them its called "tokens"

"Get them" implies ownership. Don't you mean, book entertainment?

Mclean, that is because minorities in large numbers do not support Republicans. Remember when Bush flip-flopped about Condi's view on race as a factor? Oh wait, you would know nothing about that. Bush had stated that both Rice and Colin Powell disagree with using "race as a factor in admissions" as a vehicle to level the playing field. In fact both Rice and Powell disagree with that view. The White House had to recant...they were not even in tune with the sentiments of their own token minorities.
