Doesn't the town your school is in have a second hand book store? Look around. Almost any college town is going to have a used book store near campus.
yes, there's a store by the school that sells second hand books but I don't live close to the school and they open only in the school year.

nah... I just use amazon... why not use it? not cheap enough

sometimes people at my school will send out emails through the school email system that go to a bunch of people saying they're selling books for cheap or asking to buy books... I never fucked with that though

get to know the students that work at the book store on campus and do them a favor for a favor. I was cool with a chick that I use to sell tree to and she would give me free books if I gave her 2 for ten which was a good deal or sell yourself for books like a stripper does for tuition fuck it.

How about the library?

At my university the professors always put at least one copy of each of the required texts on hold at the library in a section where you could check the book out for like an hour at a time to do your readings.

But the library usually had several copies of all the texts so you could take your reading list and go and just check the books out and renew them throughout the semester.

Once I found this out I stopped buying books all together. I just wish I'd have done it for the first two years of school and saved all that money.

D/l the torrent of the book... and put it on your laptop... Free books and they are all in one place and you don't have to carry them around.
