I learned a lot from the movie, but I just couldn't get into it. The meat of the movie is hitmen running around killing people, and then the "cause of the Jewish people" is just an afterthought once they made an exciting movie. At the end of the movie when he's in America and starts tripping out hard over everything that happened, it was almost like Spielberg said "okay, well we made a bloody movie, now lets put in the scene where Bana reflects on his life and realizes that the actions of the Isreali's really did ruin his life and make him rethink everything he held dear to him".
I dunno...it just seemed like...telling the story about Munich/Israel/Palestine took the backseat to telling a "Stephen Speilberg movie".
Then again, I'd probably enjoy it a lot more the second time around because I wont be saying "what's going on, who's that guy, why is he mad, where are they now, are those guys Palestinians, how comes these other Arab guys are staying with the Jews in this 'safe spot', etc. etc. etc.". But I blame Speilberg again for making the movie not easily understandable unless you were alive during the Munich events.
