800 maybe... its not for me

12 track max probably...

he wanted digi out to his maudio firewire box...
and his analog mixer has a couple tracks which
are staticie

yamaha 01v (the white one), roland vm3100 or mackie Onyx.


12 CHANNELS? One of the above will work. If the analog mixer has a couple of channels with hiss maybe it should be repaired or cleaned? Having a digital mixer is cool but has it ever occured to you that you're signal is going through analog cables and going through the A-D converters in the sound card?

But yeah one of those mixers should work. BTW they are MIXERS, not daws/hard disk recorders.

and why do you need 12 tracks?
are you recording live drums?
if not, i doubt you'll need 12 tracks
