Lewis reaches agreement to coach Bengals

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ESPN.com

Redskins' defensive coordinator Marvin Lewis has reached an agreement to become the next head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli learned today.

Lewis -- who's desired a head coaching opportunity the last several years -- emerged recently as the favorite for the job.

Steelers offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey and former Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Tom Coughlin were the other candidates in the running for the Bengals' post

The funny thing is that the Bengals actually have alot of talent...they just can't win.

Maybe Lewis can turn them around...bring some discipline to the team.

And some luck couldn't hurt.....

Hahaah, the Bungals have no talent homie!!
Corey Dillon, Takeo Spikes, Brian Simmons, Justin Smith, Chad Johnson, Lorenzo Neal, Willie Anderson, Peter Warrick.....

You also have to remember...Lewis coached in this division and played the Bengals twice a year. He wouldn't take the job if he didn't think he could do something with them.....

The ownership is the real problem. They did a piece on it for sportscenter a few weeks ago.

It wouldn't hurt to have a QB either. :dead:

Lorenzo Neal out of Fresno State, thats my dog right there. He hasnt rushed the ball more then 30 times in a single year though. Is he playing FB now? Or is he just there to give Dillon rests. He does have tallent, but in his 10 years in the NFL, he hasnt been given a chance.
