Midiman 49 Keystation, small affordable midi controller with touch sensitive keys. got a slider and a mod wheel for about 100 bucks. Just a controller though it makes no sounds on its own.

When you say just a controller I take it you mean u need to hook it up to a receiver.

How many different types of sounds does it have, not including just pitch changes?

Controllers have no sounds at all

How much you tryin to spend
Nothin specific, I just ain't got money to buy top of the line shit, but I also don't wanna get somethin that I can't make any tite beats off. I'd say if I was gonna get one probably no more than 3 bills, but more likely around 2-250 just depends. I have a mixer, receiver, and speakers already if that would help at all.

For $270, you can get a Fatar 88 key controller with semi-weighted keys (they're a little easier on the hands and wrists than fully weighted) It is velocity sensitive, but no aftertouch. Or for $250 you can get a Fatar 61 key synth action with aftertouch and mod/pitch wheels.

Fatar puts out the best controller-only keyboards IMO.

Buy my midi man board and reason 2.5 that will cost you for about 350-400 bucks in time you make beats just fine with that set up. Shit if you already got a bullshit casio board with Midi out you can hook that to your PC with Reason or frooty loops and you will be on your way.
