free is always good....i personally fuck with volvos...hated them growing up...my first car was a 88 volvo sedan with three different shades of tan paint....no radio but i had a boom box chillin on the passenger side lol even had to buy from my mom for 500.....that shit dumped so much oil the ground....but it was fun in the rain....

the 4 cylinder is damn near bulletproof...and the turbo really can put you back in your seat with some adjustments
We already tweaked the turbo, that shit was FUN on the highway

My first car was a 1997 Buick Century. My boys called it a Grandma whip, but they were rollin' around in buckets. My ride was 3 years old, leather interior, fully loaded...

Get what you're comfortable in...something that works.

For 3K I would definitely buy a new car because for what you get used for 3k you are gonna end up dropping way more money on maintenance and repairs.

You can get a brand new 2010 Hyundai Elantra for 1500 down and then payments of 250ish a month. 10 year/100,000 mile warranty.

You end up with 2k in your pocket, something that will help you build your credit score, a new reliable car with a solid warranty and low risk of any out of pocket expenses that gets great gas mileage.

It's not the "coolest" car, but big difference between people who are successful and those that are not is the ability to make the more financially sound decisions over the emotionally driven "cool" choice.

You should be able to find something cool for 3 racks. Make sure that mf passes smog first before you buy it, make sure it isn't all that modified, and when you test drive it make sure the tranny ain't slippin. Go for a drive to see if that mf overheats.

Make sure man, make sure.

dont let the volvo name fool you...though its a common misconception from damn near everyone, as volvo is marketed as a family safe car...not a sports car

my V70 R had 250 hp stock....5 cylinder engine by the way..when i was done with it i was around 300...not much faster, but it was lighter than v8's with better mileage oh and my insurance was 25 a month because it was a volvo plus it was AWD..

volvo's are great sleepers

If anything, I'm overestimating. lol

Whatever you say, chief.

And don't take me knocking your 9 passenger rocket as hate.

I love wagons and I'll soon enough have a Caprice Wagon with an LT4.

And LOL @ A Volvo being a sleeper car.

I'm really sorry guys, but I've never been caught sleeping beside a Volvo.

I do hear their interior is so comfy you could sleep in one, though.
