Yes. I read what I typed, and I can cite many sources pertaining to the crimes commited in the name of science. Should we start with the scientist of Nazi Germany, or should I direct your attention to the Tuskegee experiment? As far as citing something WITHIN my post the answer is yes. Why don't YOU read what I wrote, come back, and tell us about the guys moving the minute hand on the doomsday clock.
without the scientists in Nazi Germany we would have never know even a fraction of what we know today about the human brain nor would we have such good anatomy books
of course, they went a little bit too far, but they made contributions and advancements that would have never been possible in the fake-moral society we live in today
as far as they did it for the advancement of science, I support them 100%, there are certain experiments that should be made, no matter the cost
in fact, 100 years from now, we will probably still be wondering how the human brain works, because of the lack of good model organism to study it (obviously, there is only one species that's suitable and we're limited in what we can do with it) and we'll still hear "arguments" about how unexplainable the human mind is and how this proves the existence of God when we could learn so much more if just some of the so called "ethical" obstacles were removed
anyway, we're smart enough and we'll figure it out, it will just take more time
as far as the Tuskegee Syphilis Study is concerned - it would have never been possible if it wasn't for racism, and do not pretend racism and christianity are not historically related because they clearly are
Nor was it the bible that called for people to die in the crusades, but if we leave it up to people such as yourself, you'll rewrite history and tell us religion or the bible actually did it.
it wasn't the Bible but it if there were no bibles and qu'rans there would be no crusades and no jihads
what we're concerned about is that milions of people have died and will die in the future because of wars driven by superstition and myths which is just ridiculous
Son, you are making a mockery of morality, and all that is remotely intelligent when you attempt to shift the blame and pretend as if science does not have a helping hand in the madness going on our world.
most scientists spend their whole day in labs or on their desks performing experiments and thinking
I don't see how they cause any trouble by doing so
they do not kill, steal or rape, much less doing so based on religious faith
BTW stop throwing your "morality" in the face of people, morality doesn't mean shit; only real "morals" we have are those that evolved in us as part of the social altruism we have developed; this doesn't mean they're a law or anything, we as a species should be able to adapt to the envrionment, which we're increasingly less able to do
just because your fairy tales book tell you you should do something doesn't mean you really have to, especially when your book is just what it is - a collection of absurdic fairy tales
you're not a kid anymore, it's time to stop believing in Santa Claus and the tooth fairy
Hypocrisy showing its face again and a retarded attempt on your part in trying to introduce a fallacy. Lets abandon all the contributions religion has made to humanity and lets wipe it from the face of the earth. Let's forget about all the homeless shelters and food programs operated by churches, let's forget about all the group homes, adoption shelters, battered womens shelters, child abuse recovery facillities and crisis hotlines that are operated by followers of religion.
religion has not made any contributions to humanity to start with, except for keeping it in dark about the real world around us for millenia, causing countless wars, burning people for being different, wiping out whole civilizations from the face of the earth, etc.
these are great contributions, no sane person can deny that
group homes, adoption shelters, bla-bla - are you kidding me?
first think about why we need these things, then talk nonsense
I showed you a study where they clearly inversely correlated the quality of living in a given country with the number of religious people in it
thnk before you type nonsense
