Does anyone have any information about Gold and how the amount of paper money in circulation is related to the amount of gold a nation has? I read before that paper money is basically an IOU, and when you buy something you are basically trading gold for that item. Any links on this subject are appreciated, thanks...

the us isn't on the gold standard anymore. money doesn't really exist. you can create it as you want (though that brings reprocussions)

on a related note, the us dollar is on the slide (see the thread 20 made) and gold is on the rise.

Thanks 2-0 Sixx...

That article was really deep. Through the banking system we are all slaves to the words elite. They are making money off our sweat. I always knew that price of personal debt is a loss of freedom. The greater the debt the more money you are paying to cover it, thus reducing your share of the wealth and giving it to the banks.

Its frightening to think where we are headed in the future. What will happen when the total amount of created money and debt will be so massive that the actual amount of real money in circulation cant cover the interest payments???
