I never heard about Catholics not believing in the bible. Might be something unique to your wife? Not for sure though. As far as i knew catholics read the bible.

Why can't you just let your children choose instead of forcing a religion on them? Expose them to both, you and your wife's religions maybe others too, as they grow up, and let them decide which religion they want to belong to when they are ready. But hey thats just me i could be wrong.

I was raised in a catholic culture, but my dad was against me growing up "warped" (his words, not mine). I do know however that the reading of the Bible is encouraged, along w/ various other spiritual texts and prayer books. Perhaps it is your GF's personal beliefs that lead her not to believe in the Bible. Catholics have so many ceremonies, that it's mandatory to read the Bible. Like baptism, your first communion, and your confirmation. All this takes much study of the word.


I feel U on the saints thing, b/c my BF's family comes from J.W. background. I also don't agree w/ the whole confession thing. These are just parts of the religion, does your GF go to confession? Don't stress Shea, I'm sure U guys will be able to come to a happy compromise.

Im not a very religious man, if any and never really have been but if that chagnes by the time I get married and have kids Im with Coldblooded, let them decide in what they want to believe in

I'm a catholic and Shea just one question are you and your fiance having sex yet??? If so then you need to tell her she aint following a true catholic style. Yes i'm a catholic but I'm not a hard core catholic like I should be. Yes I sin I have sex before I'm married, I live unwed, I smoke, I drink, I have tatoo's so for me to say "no my kids are going to a catholic school" I would be totaly be a hiprocryte(spelling??). Yes you guys need to compromise. And if she aint willing to compromise..........looks like she's just tryna pimp ya dog........just my 2 pennys.........
