Shit has been fucked for a week. Its starts the burn process and then starts reving up, and then stops. Gives me some sort of calibration error message in Nero. Ive searched the net, some said to switch a setting on my computer, i did that, and nothing. Ive used different burn programs, nothing. Some said that the burner is either dirty, or broke. Can I clean the burner without dismantling my computer?

Someone tell me theyve dealt with this before and how to fix it.

slave? back of the burner? huh!?

whatever that is, no I havent tried it. i wouldnt even know where to begin to try that. I dont have access to the burner as it is internal. That may/may not sound like a stupid statement, but i am lost when it comes to hardware on computers.

if updating doesnt work you will need to open up the computer to swtich these cables http://www.logicsupply.com/images/photos/cables/CABATA18_big.jpg

or your can also try reinstalling your burner with the orignal cd it came with.

i recently worked on a computer where the burner wouldnt work. i reformated and all that and in the end i just had to use the other http://www.logicsupply.com/images/photos/cables/CABATA18_big.jpg
with a left over dvd/cd burner. hope that helps. what kinda PC do you have?
