To say that because there were white indentured servants that white people were equally a party to 'racism' is a ridiculously fallacious position.
The white 'pecking order' that existed initially in the US (Western Europeans above Eastern Europeans, Italians, Irish, etc.) is now completely dissolved, and it pales in comparison to the horror and indignity that was first visited upon the Native Americans, then consequently the African people.
If there is even a degree of distinction, it is that the absolute worst was given to the Native Americans in Mexico and the continental US, with Africans following close behind. All the other societal or class structures that affected white people have slowly been dissolved until their complete nonexistence today.
Blacks in America and Native Americans in the reservation and in mainstream society still bear the brunt of the historical burdens laid upon them. That is absolutely not the case for Slovaks, Pollocks, Irish, and the Dagos. To argue that they had it just as bad is ridiculous.
