South Los Angeles - A manhunt was under way today for the person who opened fire into a South Los Angeles home, leaving a 7-year-old girl hospitalized in serious but stable condition with wounds to her arm and chest, police said.

The girl was with her grandmother and grandfather when the shooting occurred about 7:25 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of West 47th Street, the LAPD reported. Her name was not released.

Two men in a white minivan with paper plates approached the home and the passenger emerged, pulled out a handgun and fired into the residence, said Officer Jason Lee of the LAPD's Media Relations Section.

The gunman, who was wearing a white hoodie sweatshirt, jumped back into the minivan, and the pair fled, police said.

Bullets pierced a front window of the home, striking the child in the arm and the chest, Lee said. She was taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition, police said. Police believe the shooting was gang-related.

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― Three people were behind bars today on suspicion of attempted murder for a drive by shooting in South Los Angeles that wounded a 7- year-old girl, and police said the gunfire was not gang-related, but the result of a child-support dispute.

Toni Valentine, 29, is accused of driving a van, with her 5-year-old daughter inside, to her ex-husband's home in the 300 block of West 47th Street, around 7:25 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Valentine's boyfriend, Dante Quezada, 32, allegedly got out of the van and opened fire at the house, injuring the 7-year-old girl -- who is the niece of Valentine's ex-husband, police said. Quezada is a known gang member, police said.

The girl, whose name was withheld, was with her grandparents when she was wounded. She remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition.

Police, who initially said the shooting was gang-related, now believe the motive for the shooting was an ongoing child custody dispute between Valentine and her ex-husband, said LAPD Officer Jason Lee. The ex-husband was not home at the time of the shooting.

Valentine and Quezada used 36-year-old Felipe Carias' van to commit the drive by shooting, police said. Police believe Carias was also in the van when the shooting occurred.

Police said Quezada got out and "fired numerous rounds into the residence, striking the 7-year-old girl" in the arm and chest.

Valentine, Quezada and Carias were all booked on suspicion of attempted murder and were each being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.

GOOD!

& the downside is, if these cats were not SUR, & didnt answer to a higher power, they'd be getting PC'd up or be someones bitch for shooting a little girl.

but since we all know whats gonna happen once they get locked up, chances are these fagots are gonna 'have stripes' for hurting a child.
who earns stripes for shooting kids?...not around here homie.btw, looks like it was sum personal shit and might not even be g-related.
