GILLIE DA KID STEPS UP

Gillie Da Kid has finally stepped up in a recent report and admitted to doing some ghostwriting for Lil’ Wayne. In a report by MTV, Gillie stated that he did some writing for Lil’ Wayne on the New Orleans rapper’s Tha Carter 1 album. He denied doing anything on Tha Carter 2, which I think is the better of the two. But, Wayne’s reps say that its all a crock of BS and Gillie’s a liar. Which is it? Anyway, after getting shot, Gillie is on the promo push and has a new musical project on the way. Thanks Wadie G.
There has been some question as to whether or not Wayne had a ghostwriter and I wanted to see what anyone else thought. IMO The Carter was sick, and although I haven't had a chance give The Carter II proper listening time, I have heard it is the better of the two. So there is a definite lyrical jump from Wayne's early stuff to what he is doing today, but that could easily be explained by practice, experience, and maturity; or a ghostwriter on the other hand. What yall think?

I think the Carter was better than the Carter II as far as production went. I'm not a big Manny Fresh fan but he did the damn thing with the Carter. His musical style blends good with Wayne. So I do think the Carter is better than the Carter II, but as far as lyrics go I don't see much of a difference between the two albums.

All I know is that I've seen Wayne do some shady shit. Spitting "freestyles" on BET and then those exact same "freestyles" end up being full verses on the Carter.

So I can't comment on whether or not he had a ghostwriter. But if Gillie said that he didn't ghostwrite the Carter II, then its safe to say that Wayne is just as good without him.
