Yup the Giants are gonna be stinkin it up again next season. No farm system, no good free agents available.

Lincecum for Rios....tempting but no. Cain + Lincecum are still the future. Still, the Giants won't be scoring for shit again next season, just like the fucking 9ers haha.

Lots of KNBR callers were saying no to the trade for Rios. I agree. But the hosts, Ralph Barbieri & Tom Tolbert, and Damon Bruce were saying that the Giants have to start somewhere. The Giants are screwed either way. All we have forward to look for next season: Cain pitching, Lincecum pitching, maybe some Vizquel highlights and a $20 million dollar 12-6 curveball. That's it. Yippie-Ky-Yay.

If Rios puts up the numbers he put up this past year, it wont be something you go to the stadium looking forward to see. As good as he is, if they make that trade, All we have forward to look for next season: Cain Pitching, maybe some Vizquel highlights and a $20 million dollar 12-6 curveball.

Notice one more thing missing???

Im conflicted as fuck when it comes to this. Of the three, Rios is the guy. You need someone in their mid-late twenties who still probly has his best years ahead, is relatively cheap, and can hit three or four to begin building around. I also think, for what is available now, the Giants probably have a better chance of getting free agents and decent trades with a core hitter in the lineup. Like someone said you gotta start somewhere. Pitching is the one area we arguably have a surplus.

u could have the best pitchin staff in the league but its not gonna do shit wit no hittin...the giants are retarded if they dont trade for some proven offense....what are they gonna do rely on the bats of winn and vizquel and roberts...hope feliz isnt at the top of their free agent list...predictin right now giants last place in the west
