Kent and Bell have both expressed desire to follow Baker, i dont know if the cubs can afford that. You can just say there not going to the playoffs cause they dont have them, remember, that leaves money to buy new players, and there are some great players on the market right now. Ceck it http://espn.go.com/mlb/s/top50.html

Bell will most likely return but not Kent. Bell is negotiating with the GIANTS as we speak. He wants a multi-year contract and says he has nothing but good to speak of about the GIANTS oragnization. Baker or not, Bell WILL be a GIANT next year, but I cant tell you shit about Jeff Kent.

i got the impression the kent and baker disliked each other (remember the scuffle between bonds and kent who do you think baker butted in for?)

i dont know of many great free agent position players besides jim thome ( and hes close to signing with philly), and cliff floyd probly resign with boston

well i honestly think the giants upgraded in managers. i know alote of you guys liked dussty baker all will say that he was the best but the truth is he got along well with the players and kept a great atmosphere in the clubhouse (exception of bonds and kent) but game wise he wasnt very bright. he made alote of mistakes. i mean shit he even costed you guys the World Series by taking out ortiz who was pitching well and should never have been removed.

and as for Alou the guy is a baseball genious who has probly forgotten more about the game then baker has leaned throughout his lifetime about the game

it wont be the same and cannot be compared because the team will be very different it will lose Kent and Bell, who knows if Nen will recover 100% from his off season shoulder surgery. but really though dusty baker makes alote of fucked up stupid ass baseball decisions. put it this way the best managers in the game today in my opinion are

alou and
tony larussa

Its coo to back your new manager but be realistic so that u dont have a letdown mane!! When I think of Alou, I picture Montreal losin 100 games, and him frownin on the sodelines!!

The best managers today are
D. Baker

Lou Pinella
J. Torre
A. Howe

^^If i remember correctly mcleanhatch was a dodgers fan. The Giants are are going to be a very different team next year. If they lose kent i guarentee they will either sign someone or trade for someone who can protecte Bonds as good or better, Brian Sabean is one of the best GM's in baseball. Him and Magawon arent stupid they know they need to win the next year, AND THEY WILL GET WHAT THEY NEED TO WIN NEXT YEAR.

Nice confidence drank, but its easier said then done!! I dont believe there are no free agenst out there better than Kent to protect Bonds, except Thome, who is just about to sign with Philly, and F. Thomas, but there is no DH in the N. League haha!! So I dont think so mane...they wont see no baseball in october next year homie!! Its time to rebuild..haha!! GOT EM!!!

art howe isnt that good

j torre is a top manager (but any1 could have won with those yankee teams)

la russa is one of the best

pinella is too casue he always finds a way to win (but will see how good he really is in Tampa Bay)

d baker as i have said before its takes a special manager to pull russ ortiz out of game 6 in the world series when he was dominating the angels just cause he walked 1 guy and 1 guy got a hit. i mean they had a 4 run lead.

and ya he got fired because new ownership came in and they wanted to put they good friend in as manager (cant remember his name right now). and its hard to win when you have no money and cant keep your players. the expos had some of the best talent but they couldnt afford to keep them, some would get traded off before they became stars(randy johnson, larry walker, perdo martines who came via the DODGERS, marquis grissom ) are just a few that come to mind.

oh and when i picture montreal i picture them losing 100 games almost every year no matter who is managing them.

J. Tracy aint shit!! Now your bias comes in to play!! Holla at me when he leads your team to the playoffs!! Again I gave u my top 5 managers, so u already know.. Next year we will see how these managers do in new places, but I will give Pinella some lee-way because he is on the worst franchise ever!! It will take him some time before they can even think of winnin!!! GOT EM!!!
