Alot of my posts deal with death and murder. I only write what I know. I don't have a morbid curiosity about death and murder, in fact, I'm not curious at all.

Reason being, I have for some strange reason been confronted with death and murder since I was a very young lad.

The following is a partial list of some of the first hand experiences I have had with death and murder.

Pat Nixon park, Cerritos Ca. 1975:

me and a friend were riding our bikes very early on a Saturday morning in Pat Nixon park. As we approached the water fountain, we noticed that the streams of water were a pinkish color. Upon closer inspection we observed a dead body clumsily bobbing around in the water. We tore off to tell someone and the first people we encountered were a couple of teenagers.

They followed us to the fountain and grabbed the guy to pull him out apparently they thought the unfortunate fellow could be saved. When they lost their grip he flopped on his back, into the fountain and we saw a face so disfigured by gunshots that if it would have been my brother I would not have known.

Strangely he was known to me. He was the big brother of a kid from my school. I believe his name was Abel Castillo if my memory is correct. I knew him by his gang name of "mousie"

School bus stop, University of So. Cal, Irvine. 1974:

As I am waiting for the school bus along with a large group of other kids, a plane suddenly crashed directly across the street in an empty field. It was quite sudden, there were no failing engine noises just a rushing of disturbed air then an ear piercing crash, no fire but alot of smoke.

All the kids ran across the road and were greeted with the view of four people mangled beyond belief three of them were partially decapitated what I mean by partially is there heads were held onto their bodies b torn flesh and cartalidge. There were two men, and two women.

Liquor store, Pioneer Blvd. Artesia Ca. 1974:

this liquor store was right down the street from Puccinni's restaurant ½ block from my house. It was constantly being robbed. I had visited that store probably a dozen times after a recent robbery. One such visit must have been moments after the robbery. This time the clerk was sitting on the floor leaning against the cookie shelf holding his chest. He was breathing oddly and yammering in Spanish. Then he just slumped over sideways and passed away. There was only a small spot of blood on his chest when his hand fell away, only the size of a quarter.

Two Mexican kids ran in and grabbed up several tictac boxes that were strewn all over the floor and ran away.

Peppertree Avenue, Costa Mesa, CA 1979.:

I ran out of my apartment startled by a loud crashing noise. A VW had ran squarely into the trunk of a palm tree the driver, an elderly man was pinned against the seat by the steering wheel and jerking and flailing around trying to free himself. His actions were splattering blood his slashed up face that had left it's imprint in the windshield. My mother called me back in the apartment when she seen me near the accident.

My upstairs neighbor explained to me the next day that he was probably dead on impact and the flailing about was most likely involuntary spasms.
