It looks like something I made 7-8 years ago when I started in Jasc PSP. So, basically what I am saying is it looks horrible, but not hopeless.
You need to practice everyday, and never stop. I've been permanent for the last few years but before that I was on and off and the best advice I can give you is to never stop creating, always excel and always be learning. You have a lot to learn. Hit a bunch of tutorial sites and start practicing tutorials, start with the basics and move your way up from there, after a few years you will hopefully have developed your own style, that you can then build upon from there. Computer graphics is a never-ending process, your always learning new things, whether you know it or not.
