Funk music pioneer George Clinton was arrested and charged with drug possession after allegedly admitting to an officer he had cocaine in his pocket.
Clinton was sitting by himself in a car in a gas station parking lot early Saturday when a police officer approached him, said Tallahassee Police spokesman Stewart Clendinen.
Clinton tried to hide an item he was holding, dropping it between the seats, police said. He then started to reach into his pocket and the officer asked him if he had anything in his pocket.
Clinton allegedly responded: "I've got a little cocaine."
The item he dropped between the seats turned out to be a crackpipe, police said.
Clinton was charged with cocaine possession, a felony, and with possession of the pipe.

Saw him play on the East Coast last Oct. and dude was trippin on something other than greens.....had like 30 people on stage with him doing nothing.....songs were like 10-15 minutes long with all kinds of improvised babble. They had to shut him down by slowly killin bits of power because he wasn't stoppin. Still was a good time tho.
yeah i remember a few yrs back george clinton was playing at the 930 club in DC... one of my friends knows this girl who works for them.. when he played she had to pick him up at the airport... when he got in her car he asked if it was cool if he smoked.. she said it was cool, assuming he meant a cigarette or some dank.. then dude busts out a crackpipe, lol
