When i 1st Came Nto this forum, I thought it was a forum of REAL Hip Hop, not some lame ass Hip Pop!!
When I come N here I want to know or read about some REAL MCs or groups-Dilated Peoples,J5, Tha Liks, The Roots, Mos Def, Talib Kwali, Common, KRS-1, Dead Prez, Gangstarr, Wu-Tang, Zion I, The Coup, Paris, Swollen Member, Murs, Supernatural, Defari, Phil da Agony Thistin Howl, Pharoah Monch, R.A. The Raugged Man, De La Soul N some DJs that someone should say I SHOULD know about!!!!

amen brother....but the truth of the matter is there is like 6 ppl on the siccness that actually listen to artists like that...we make our fair share of threads about some of our favorite underground hip hop artists but they never last cause the same 3 or 4 ppl that actually know about those artists speak on it and then thread dies cause these is no more discussion

Where is Nelly, Puff, Mase, J kwon, Paris Hilton(she coming with a new cd, Im ah cop it.itz supposed to be HEAT),Chingy,etc..on ur list?Thatz where "HIP HOP" is today...who would have thought after living in the 90's that music would be like this in 2005

why dont you just say "I WANT TO READ ABOUT NOTHING BUT NEW YORK RAP & THEN A LIL BIT OF OTHERS THAT SOUND & ACT LIKE NEW YORK HIP-HOP"........just my 2cents on try'n to keep this topic alive......

i feel what your tryna say but your list isnt full of "REAL" hip hop.its fulla cats you like that aint hard core,exept a few.what "REAL HIP HOP" is to you aint exactly "REAL HIP HOP" to someone else.in my eyes,i dont give a fuck who your talkin about,a "RAPPER" isnt REAL HIP HOP,maybe a REAL RAPPER,but real hip hop is just for there ego......

The Coup & Paris get talked about on B.A.R.T. there from this part of the state.its what this site was original for.Defari & The Liks and them should be discussed on the So. Cal forum,as far as the other cats from the east coast and around there,they should be discussed on an east coast forum.if not then you gotta be satisfied with "Genearl Hip Hop"......

personaly i think 90% of that list is lyricly wack.some are too old to be rappin,some rap about social issues which doesnt automaticly qualify you as lyrical,some are plain wack in my eyes......but thats my oppinion.......

Becuase this pretty much is the East Coast forum. They wouldnt give us one so they told us to use this as it.

Everyone has their preferences man....Selling albums or song content doesn't make u "UN-real" just as wearing a backpack doesn't automatically make u "real"

Im the consumer, I put the food in these guys mouths. I dont wanna listen to some pussy signing about a girl he loves with whatever good looking/ no talent R&B chick singing the hook. I dont wanna listen about some guy talking about how dope he is cuz he got shot. I dont wanna listen to a bunch of easy to remember lines over a beat thats easy to dance to.

I wanna hear 'real' shit, whether I can relate to it or not

Youre never gonna hear GM Grimm mentioned in the same breath as Game & 50 when it comes to talking about how 'real' rappers are because they got shot, but if you know what hes gone through youll know what 'real' is

lol I see yer point....and I didn't mention either Game or 50 Cent....But hell I consider E-40 just as "hip-hop" as say Living Legends....This issue could go on for YEARS like abortion rights or dem/lib lol

Here's "wasup" with those cats. I think they fucking suck almost as bad as 50 Cent and Game.

Why do I have to listen to some kufi wearing scumbag with an Africa medallion rapping about hot cocoa on Jupiter, or some other backpack nonsense? "Yo my skills be great like an obtuse triange on..."

I don't care about beatboxing, I don't care about break dancing, I don't care about spraypainting and high top haircuts and all that other "REAL HIP HOP HEAD" garbage.
