I'm asking you Homeboy's for an opinion on a song on my myspace page.
The song is titled, "BLIND JUSTICE" off my old album. Even though some of you may have already heard it, opinions are appreciated.

The song is based on the California Judicial System & speaks about being in Monterey County Jail.

Let me know what you guy's think.

I seriously appreciate that comment more than you may think Homie. The sentimental/deep tracks you refer to are like the ones on my old album. I poured out my heart & soul into that album, it was a real personal album for me (the entire album was real, from start to finish). On this new one, I feel I let go of all that. I carried the weight & unleashed my anger, depression etc etc. on "Casualties Of Life."

On this new one "Walking Tall" I'm just having fun (hence: The Good Times That Follow). The new album is a complete 360* from the old one. More upbeat, not as dark, angry, depressing as the previous one. I can understand somebody resenting towards it. The new album comes out of left field on those that expect something simular to the old one.

The song "Baby Boy" (Walking Tall) touches basis on the old album. That song picks up where the previous album left off (the answer to what happend after "Casualties"). A more heart felt, real topic type song. Although, "Walking Tall" has it's street life/Gangstafied moments it also has something for everybody (radio cuts etc etc) & with the song "Baby Boy", I feel I didn't leave my fans hanging.

That's how I'm feeling about this new one. I'm expanding a little more & it's really up to those that wish to free their mind, forget about the past & take that ride with me.

And if people don't feel this new one because they expected another "Casualties" album, well, as an artist I have to take that at a proffessional stance and bite the bullet.

I tried to reply to you on the PM but it was trippin' (couldn't send it).

So here ya go Homie..

I just sold out of my old album (had it re-pressed). I'll see what I can work out though. The Yun-Gun Cd's, etc etc..I believe I can still get (I'll holla at em' when I see him this weekend).

My new album, I'm shooting for Feb. 07, but it all depends (you know how that goes).

About your question reguarding the Gangsta/son thing..naw, I don't think it's a stupid question at all.

First & foremost, I'm no gangsta, but have delt with issues dealing with the law (incarcerated)..the last time in 2000 (most people would thrive off that..& brag)..I don't believe in being proud of saying I've been to jail. Toward the end of the recordings the Casualties album my son was concieved. Everything said on that album was before I had a son.

I don't carry gun's or do the gangsta thing out here Homie..I'm a Family man first. The pimpish yada yada yada..as in the "Git your Azz Up!" song or in my new album is simply story tellin' & that's one of the many jobs as a father to instill that in my son..never take music too serious or feel you have to do what you rap about (it's entertainment). A true artist can write and create a story..not everything has to fit the stereo type & be real ya feel?

My old album, is real & personal & I really feel is important for my son to know what I been through (just incase I happen to pass away before I can get a chance to tell him myself).

..but trust you'll never see me on a video or DVD smokin' weed or flashing a gun (for one, I don't do that no more & two: I wouldn't incriminate myself like that on camera).

It's more like a job to me..I go to the studio, write & record music & come home & be a Father to my son.

LOL!!!! I know Brugh, but the fact of the matter is: I just don't feel it's ready.

Trust me when I say, had I dropped it already..I'd regret ever doing it.

The reason I've pushed it back so much..it's been done about 3-4 times already, but I keep trashing tracks and breaking down the album back to a minimum amount of cuts. The last time I went in to choose songs that would make the final cut..I went back down to a total of 5 songs. I'm over 10 tracks at this point, 14-16 tracks deep is planned for this album.

The shit's got to be right in my opinion..amount of time is not a concern of mine. Releasing good music is most important to me.

@ LethaFace, ONE on the PM Homie.
