Gears Of War 2 Could Get A New Ranking System

Recently, on the official Gears of War 2 forums, Rod Fergusson made a topic announcing the possibility of a new ranking system for Gears of War 2. As oppose to the TrueSkill ranking system, this new system would work as a generic ranking format (getting a certain amount of XP, levelling up, next level needing you to obtain a larger amount of XP). Rod says that there will be 99 (!) levels for you to climb up the ranks.


From the first responses, the general consensus from fans is that they want this to happen.

needs to happen...you get stuck with the most shitty players if youre in the 2nd ranking....its like limbo for everyone who fucked up early in the game..which means you can be either good or bad..

yea you had "fucking pussy" in your profile, you was probably talkin shit to some kid and he filed complaints on your profile. Shits happened to me 4 times, first 48 hours, then a week, and i had to change my gamertag 4 times because i got haters filing complaints on my gamertags, and cause im good.

xbl is weaaaaaaaaak, they sell games that having cuss words all through the storyline but if you say a cuss word online or have one your profile you are breaking the guidelines for being online...what kinda shit is that...really tho....
