The Indians will not make the playoffs this year.
The Wild Card will come out of the East or the West... If it does happen to come out of the Central (which I highly doubt,) it will be Minnesota.

Overall the Indians have a losing record against the teams they play the rest of the season against... They haven't played that well against the teams in their division either, who they play most of the time for the rest of the season... They have a losing record to Minnesota, Chicago owns them, and they're just a couple games up on Detroit and KC...

Everyone thinks that the Indians have an easy schedule from here on out but doesn't recognize the fact that Cleveland hasn't been able to take care of business against these "bad" teams. -G-Dubb
Cleveland: 86 - 62

Month of August

19 wins 7 losses

Won 3 out of 4 against the yankees that month

gave up 111 runs scored 221

Month of Sept

12 - 3 this month

4-2 this month against twins. Just swept them in a 3 game series a week ago

gave up 35 runs this month.

Scored 71 runs. Gave up 39 runs.

9-1 last 10 games. recent 3 game winning streak.

Since the month of August we are 31 - 10.

4 games behind the whitesox in our division.

with the win tonight we will be 86-62 with a 4 game winning streak won 10 of our last 11 games.

And check this out.... Upcoming series

http://cleveland.indians.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=cle&m=9&y=2005

Games left....

Royals 1 game
white sox 3 games
Royals 4 games
Devil Rays 3 games
white sox 2 games

All we need is 4 wins to get that special 90 wins. I can smell october. *fears the yankes 10 game win streak* However if we kick ass against the sox we could end up taking our division.

Oh and how about those twins. 13 games back. You were soo sure.... but your wrong my man.

Actually I said in a post since then that I think the Indians will take the division but thanks for doing all the research.

Still what I said was I didn't think the Indians would make it because up to that point they COULDN'T beat the teams they SHOULD have been beating. If they had been playing consistently they'd be a game or two out right now, if not leading the Central. And to my knowlege this is the same team that played so bad earlier this year, it's not like they've made a lot of changes (except for losing Arthur Rhodes for the season,) so they could just as easily go back to losing like they did before.

I wouldn't be so sure about Anaheim... They've barely squeaked by Detroit the last two nights and just got swept by Seattle. Also Anaheim has to play Texas next, who's definitely better than Detroit and Seattle (Texas has taken the first 3 of 4 from Seattle already and had to face Felix Hernandez.) Also, when the A's play Minnesota starting Monday they get to miss Johan Santana and Carlos Silva.

Angels @ Oakland this year = 2-4

The Wild Card isn't really worth looking at cuz a lot of the contenders don't really have any control over it (I don't think there are many if any head-to-head games left.) The Indians need to make their move now in the head-to-head games while the Sox are slumping.

But Anaheim does not own Tampa Bay.

I think it's gonna be tied, or maybe Angels up 1 or A's up 1 by the A's/Angels series.

Bobby Crosby's supposed to be back for the Minnesota series.

Well looks like the Indians turned back into their normal, shitty ass selves when it mattered most... Too bad.
