It's hard for me to listen to, but I always try to keep in mind that people grieve differently. Most are traditional grievers, as in the crying and remembering or the lost soul. Then there are others who grieve through the memory of things that remind them of their lost loved ones. My grandfathers wife grieved in kinda the same way this chick seems to be, where she searched for tangible things to replace her lost husband. It's hard to believe, but after confronting my step-grandma for long enough she finally broke down and said it was her way of forgetting and moving on.
I personally could never act that way, but then again people aren't like me in a sense where I over analyze every move I make.
