I dont know about anyone else, but im getting pretty sick of murder dog not doin the bay right. They dont even show love to the popular bay artists like 40. They give no cover to 40, no cover to keak, no cover to yuk, but they give the fuckin GAY UNIT like 4 covers this year. Im sick of seeing these guys on the fuckin mag. If havin them on the cover pushes so many more mags then do a multi cover issue with keak and 40 on the cover for they bay. Murgerdog from the bay and they have more fucking pages on rasta jamacian music. I dont want to read that shit. In the last murder dog they had 1 bay artist interviewed c-bo. That was it, no one else. Its straight bullshit. They show no love at all to Nickatina. They give no interview to him and didnt even review his new album. The new murder dog has like 3 bay interviews cellski, yuk, paris. But it needs to be stacked with bay shit. We need 4080 to come back and put it down for they bay cause murder dog aint cuttin it.

Sometimes, you just need to show love for where your from, like how some dj's on kmel are showin love for they new bay cats. Not for money but cause they young hungary and talented. Its not gonna kill murder dog to show some love to the bay. These artists made murder dog what it is today. It used to be a 100% bay magazine. Now they cover detroit more than the bay. Its fuckin bullshit.

If a magazine was dedicated to just bay shit...
only cats in the bay would want it.

Murder Dog got way more support for the bay than other magz out there. Maybe the artists you want interviewed don't want to be. 4080 was a good idea, but obviously there is not enough support within the bay to keep it poppin. Mainstream media is what sells...

RIP to the legend. Half a page at the back, that shit makes me sick. If fuckin 50 cent got capped tomarrow by some fag he was tryin to pick up they would give him the cover(once again) and do a fat history of him. They would probably give him the whole fuckin mag. Solja slim from N.O. got the cover, gets killed and in this issue he get a 2 page write up. I have no problem with his write up, but give cougnut his propers. A half a page for one of the bay's finest. What a joke

Im not sayin have the mag be 100% bay. I know they need to make there money and need industry support. But come on, its not even a bay mag anymore. Atleast give 25% of the mag to the bay and its artists. Right now I would say it has slipped to about 5% of the mag and that is not how it should be!

Muderdog has supported the Bay and most of all indi music to the fullest. Murderdog and Showcase are some of the only publications that give indi West Coast hip-hop and spotlight. 40, C-Bo, and a number of other Bay Area artists have been on the cover, and 40 has had numerous stories in Murderdog that showed him and the Bay great support. That magazine is one of the few publications that you can actually get your CD reviewed in that has a real circulation. Black Dog Bone has given alot of consideration for Bay Area and aritsts like myself from the NW as well. If Murderdog was to fall off, there would only be Showcase, but it is a little bit smaller then Murderdog.

The mag just need to increase its representation of the bay by a major percent. I mean they got like pages dedicated to bulshit. Like foods and shit, and no joke in the new issue, they have 15 pages of interviews with jamacian fools who put out reggae shit. Those pags could have inerviews with artists like the jacka, nickatina, young droop, san quinn and tons more. Artists who puttin it down for the bay.

Yup. There's usually some shit in there that I can still get into (i.e. the interviews w/ Yuk, Cellski and The WSCG were cool), but yeah, I remember back when MURDER DOG printed its' copies on that black-and-white paper. That was the shit!!! I don't mind coverage of a few underground Southern and/or Midwest artists, but guys like 50 Cent, Jay-Z, etc. get enough goddamn coverage in the mainstream mags and whatnot...And yeah, I like a lot of Reggae music, but I'll pick up a Reggae mag if I want to read about that...

One other thing: this "cooked food is poison" thing is getting old as fuck. If "cooked food is poison", why am I still alive?

PEACE!
