All I know is that it's in the middle of nowhere, you can drive to to Joshua Tree and check out the bolders and that's about it..lol I think Palm Springs is about 50 miles from there though.

THAT PLACE SUCKS!!! my shiester uncle moved there with his wife to get away from lendors. my brother and cousin stayed there with them for getting in trouble and being behind in school. when my cousin from V.A. was there to get his credits up he took me around the city I SWEAR TO GOD we finished rolling around the entire perimeter in under 10 minutes! 8 to be exact. the heat sucks cause it's a low desert so it's extremely hot and there is NOTHING TO DO!

i'm sure it's grown a bit if anything since i've been there but I KNOW there is nothing great going on..

i suggest getting out of the city to get away as much as possible. my cousin did that as much as he can even though he could'nt miss one class.

They referenced 29 Palms in the movie "Independence Day" when all of the marines are gathered together planning their retaliation against the aliens. I used to have to go out there to play football and baseball games in high school because we had to play a school that was just as small as ours in population. I have no idea what to do out there. I don't know how far away Palm Springs is, but that would probably be your best bet for any kind of entertainment. I think 29 Palms is about 90 minutes from the Inland Empire. Have fun out there.
