im going on 23 days straight of work and still working 15 hour days all this week......shits a bitch

im pretty sure working 7 days or more straight isn't legal unless its otherwise stated in some sort of contract for the job..... so if you really want a day off you have all rights to request one.....

i remember i had a dish washing job at golden corral and i was the only one who wasn't a wetbacc in the dish room....them foos used to work 8-10 hours straight with no breaks....fucc that shit id take my 10 minute break every 2 hours and a 1/2 hour lunch break after 4-5 hours regardless of what anybody would say....this old rednecc was my supervisor and he must a came outside and tried to yell at me one day when i was on a 10.....telling me i needed to be inside working....i was like aye mafucca i don't care how you treat them foos cuz they aint from here so thats on them but im an American citizen and i know my rights so im gonna take my breaks every day like cloccwork and if you don't like it you can kiss my ass and have a talk with the labor board when they come shut you fuccs down.....he never said shit to me on a break again after that.....

retail industry sucks too, i remember i used to work at tj maxx.. they had me going crazy.. putting shit away, cleaning the store, picking up after customers, calling me to the register while i was busy doing other shit, and cleaning the bathrooms.. wtf? it was probably because i was hispanic so they figured they would get the most outta me.

ANd no that shit is not legal. More than 12 hours in one day let alone many days in a row isnt legal. watch.

^^ Yeah it is, as long as your getting paid and it's voluntary. I worked in the restaurant biz for 7 years from high school and a while after. If you can make it there you can make it anywhere man.

Working 8 hour days, 7 days straight ... the 8th day makes it time and half

*Anything worked over 8 hours a day is overtime not time and half

*Anything over 40 hours in one week is overtime not time and half

*California law states you must have 2 day breaks unless you come to compromise with you district manager and approval from your regional

*Working more than 5 hours a lunch is or else they're breaking California Law (due to the Walmart case not giving employee's breaks)

*If you work 8 hours you are required to take one lunch and two breaks

Why do I know this... because I'm a acting store manager

Not true at every job. It varys from this to the one you stated below.

But im confused by the statement. OT is time and a half. So if OT is time and half, how is it NOT tiem and a half?
