APPLE VALLEY, Calif. -- Authorities say a man stabbed his father in the head after he asked his son if he wanted breakfast Thanksgiving morning.
San Bernardino County Sheriffs booked 24-year-old Arthur Camacho of Apple Valley on suspicion of attempted murder.
The sheriff's department said Camacho stabbed his father behind his left ear after refusing breakfast and picking up a large butcher knife. The father told him to put the knife down, turned around and the younger man stabbed him, penetrating his skull.
Camacho's brother subdued Camacho by hitting him with a baseball bat, which caused him to drop the knife.
