That's why they drafted Brian Brohm, just in case Rodgers doesn't do well. And yeah I've been sick and tired of hearing if and when Favre's gonna retire for the past few seasons now.

If not now then when? Hasn't he been in the league for 3 years? Its about time he gets his feet wet.

Even tho Favre has always been one of my favorites Im glad GB did this.

Ok as much as I love Farve he didn't exactly handle this situation the best. He has been talking about retirement for years and when he retired he said there was no chance he would be coming back. Green Bay is just trying to move on, and they drafted the way they did bc they were searching for a QB. Now Brett wants them to forget all the work they have been doing so he can play one more season? Not really fair

Favre really needs to shut his ass up. He's been anouncing retirement for the past 3 seasons. GB is getting tired of hearing it. If Rodgers doesn't play this season he'll be walking next season. His contract should be expired soon. But yeah GB has been grooming Rodgers as the future. They need to still with it and let Rodgers take control of this offense.

if it wasnt 4 favre threatening retirement every year rodgers wouldnt have been drafted by the packers. favres been creating this whole mess for 5 years now. 4 sum reason i think hell start 4 the packers again this year. i wonder if ted thompson knew this was gonna happen & drafted brohm incase rodgers gets disgruntled.

You play to win now, not in the future. Aaron Rodgers MIGHT be good, but the reality is that Brett Favre is a top 10 QB in the league (in my opinion top 5) and theres 20 teams out there that have a worse QB. The Packers will be better with Favre and they need to remember that. Im sick of the bullshit surrounding him too, but you put the best team out there when you have it. IF Favre sucked last year then fine, move on with Rodgers, but he didnt so you better roll with Favre.
