what the hell happened to good old blood filled rated R horror movies. every new "thriller" that drops is PG-13. can anyone recommend any new independent rated R horror movies that are dope? tired of waiting for movies to come out in theaters and being pissed off walking out of it.

the old formula for horror movies was blood, slashing, violence, tits and ass, and cussing

the new formula is on some psycological thriller type shit.......

yup the psychological horror from mainstream japanese movie culture is catching on here thanks to the ring..... Scream and shit like that was tight, and before it stuff like Jason/freddy/halloween..... all good shit. Good ol' slasher flicks are out, but don't worry they'll come back.

Check out Dead Alive. Its not a straight horror movie though, its a comedy/zombie movie, but it has the most blood of any movie ever. Peter Jackson directed it. The Unrated versions called Brain Dead.

I havent seen a good horror movie in forever, I think the last time anything ever freaked me out was when they rereleased the Exorcist and that fucking demon/dracula head that was in the background bugged the shit out of me

i don't mind the psychological horror. it's just that when it comes down to the gore they always cut scene or show you the lame after effects.

B-Buzz .. you know if the unrated version would be at Blockbusters or anything like that?

honestly I dont know. Its foreign (either Australia or New Zealand, dont know which) so I doubt they would have it there. But they do have the R rated version which is still bloodier than any movie Ive ever seen

Just wait.. Lion's Gate Flims is releasing "High Tension" aka "Haute Tension" its a french slasher movie.. its really graphic.. its supposed to be released "Unrated" but we'll see.. u can read up on it at http://www.hightensionmovie.com/ the trailer is kinda misleading.. but its a lot sicker then what they show u.
