so i get this ad in the mail...it says "5 DVDS for .49cents"...so i send in for 7 movies which i think are dvds because the ad in the mail said "DVDS", not a word on there about vhs or laser discs...so i send in 20 dollar check for 7 movies...i get te package, these motherfuckers sent me videos...so i call the 800 number and after about fumbling through recorded machines for about 30 minutes i finall get a live person...bitch tells me "sorry for the misunderstanding, we can send you a return slip and you can apply for the dvd club"...i tell this bitch that i sent for dvds because thats what was advertised...not a damn word on the slip about vhs...then the bitch tells me its going to be more money for the dvd movies...so i say fine, send the shit...i get the return slip in the mail and i decide to call them up and bitch because im fuming about this for a few days...i ask the lady "why should i apply fro the dvd club, arent the dvds and videos sold by columbia house, i already filled out a fucking form that said dvds"...they give me this bullshit, so i up and cancel.

warning for you ppl thinking about joining this club...DONT...sure you pay mealsey bucks for a few movies but then their on you like the fucking plague...they send you these directors selection, then you gotta send that back saying no i dont want the directors selection, they send you bills for who knows what...this shit is false advertising...aint that shit illegal?...can you sue them for that shit?

Im on that DVD club, i got my 7 DVD's for like 8 bones or somethin like that, i just gotta buy 4 at regular price within the next 2 years and i gotta be on my toes by cancelling the directors selection on their website if i dont like it. Its legit and a decent deal if you dont slip.

I joined the dvd club about two or so years ago and after you order enough you dont even have to worry about the monthly directors selection because it doesnt apply to you anymore they have some real good deals like buy one at regular price and then unlimited at half off and a lot of other deals so I think its a good deal overall.

you aint messing up your kids credit on the real, when they send you a letter to collect all you have to do is write back and say that you were not of an age to enter a legal contract therefore you dont owe them shit.....and they wont never fuck with you never again.....children cannot enter legal contracts period

They CANNOT fuck up your credit if you don't give them a social secruity number.

They sent me a 100 bill for nothin once so I said fuck em I'm never payin them shit. They used to send me letters for years and I guess they finally gave up.

i jacked em for about 25 cds back in the day, so did my sis, they just kept sendin the collection letters and we just kept tossin em...they cant do shit

Ive had that columbia house dvd club for about a year, the first bill was around 43 dollars thats the 5 dvds then my first selection and a another selection at half price. The selection of the month titles i just watch them and send them back saves me money on goin to blockbusters or hollywood videos or buying movies that just plain suck. The only time i really order from them is when they have buy one for regular price then half off any other selections 99cent shipping for each selection. If you do everything online they e mail every other day f you want them to send the selection or cancel so it dont matter cause i check my e mail account daily so they wont send me shitty releases. Sucks if you gotta wait more than a half hour, the longest i wait on the phonecalls when they try n jook me for prices is about 3 mins and they usually fix any additional pricing they charge.
That sucks tho that they did that to you tho. When i signed up they had a box either they send on video or dvd, it pays to read everything before you spend your minutes deciding which movies to pick from.

I never fucked with Columbia house, but I jacked a grip of cd's from BMG back in 95-96. They sent me a bunch of letters in tha mail but I threw em away and they eventually stopped.
