Someone asked at thereal.com's mb why radio sucks, and I ranted and ranted and ranted and came out with something that is a decent reflection on what this whole FTI thing is about.
I might have to make this like... 3 posts if siccness is going to bitch about the message length.

Believe it or not, I would bet that I have the exact answer to this question.
AOL Time Warner owns Viacom. Viacom owns CBS. CBS owns Westwood One. Westwood One owns Infinity Broadcasting. Somewhere in the mix is Sony. Sony has a record label.
Doesn't make sense does it? It does because all these companies are one big corporate machine that own radio stations, music stores, record labels, and telivision stations.
Nelly-Z makes album for Sony. Infinity Broadcasting pushes it on their radio stations. More record sales for small artists like T9, decrease sales for SONY, Viacom, CBS, Westwood One, and Infinity Broadcasting. That's why they bump the same shit all the time.
Check out the corporate web yourself. You'll find the same thing for ABC, which is owned by disney, which owns this that and the other... CBS owns just about every rock station, rap station, classic rock station everywhere.
This is what FTI is about, when you get to the heart of it. All people need to do is find away around this MEDIA MATRIX that they don't realize is there. It's hidden, and you may not realize it, but everything you hear on a radio station isn't there for you to enjoy, it's all just one big commercial for their record company, their telivision stations etc. with commercials in between!
So occasionally, you get a station that's tryin' something different. For example, HOT97 (NY) is owned by some large corporation (probably CBS/Infinity) and plays the same Jay-Z, Cam'ron, constant R&B bullshit. This new station comes out (105.1) and is blowin' the fuckin' doors off of HOT97. They're playin' oldschool shit I haven't heard since I was in middle school, they're playin' bootleg shit, freestyles, exclusive mixes...
That's just one station out of a million out here that I actually listen to. I don't know who owns it, but it goes to show that a little goes a long way when it comes to listening to a radio station.
Research what I'm saying, and I think you'll have a different outlook on your local radio stations. Just go to http://www.mix93.com/newlook/index2.htm and scroll all the way to the bottom... Read the fine print.
Why do you think when you sign on to AoL(Time Warner) they're always pushin' certain movies like crack at a fuckin' crackhouse right up on the main screen? Why do you think Mariah Carey is on every other Welcome screen? And why do you think you'll hear the same bullshit song they're pushin' on AoL, on your local bullshit radio stations?
Fmotherfuckin'TI motherfuckers.
