earlier this morning, it's 9:30 am now
Ah. I was going to say maybe exercise in the morning then you'll go into work with a little less stress or something but the opposite is the case

Maybe you're pissed off cause your body is demanding calories, eat something

That's pretty cool you'd rather do something you like than something that pays the bills; especially when it's making you miserable. How passionate would you say you are about food / cooking, like scale 1-10?

got any other vegan ideas aside from salad? I need to cut down on red meat
Portabella mushrooms. You can do stuff that kind of tricks you into thinking it's a burger; cooking it the right way, getting the moisture and texture right, getting a little grilled flavor in there, using flavors that compliment beef, things like that.

I' m not pissed just tired from the workout. I am on a pretty big cut and my max is 1.5k cals per day. I think it's normal to be a bit moody/tired on a big cut.

About 10/10. I want my own food truck in a couple years and maybe a fleet of them in the future.

What about green pipped olives? I fucking love those but I don't think they offer much nutritional value.

I eat a lot of meat replacements from brands like Gardein, Simple Truth and Beyond Meat. Don't know what kind of brands you guys have there though.

I don't think our supermarkets here have them, but I will check again at a few. We do have an organic wholefoods market near where I live, I will check that out.

basically mushrooms have that umami flavor, so a lot of beef* replacements have those and grains, then they either grill it or encourage you to grill it. it's best with actual flame or charcoal not just a grill pan or something.

Umami (/uˈmɑːmi/), or savory taste,[1][2][3] is one of the five basic tastes (together with sweetness, sourness, bitterness, and saltiness). It has been described as brothy or meaty.

Jesus... 1.5k calories a day cut is like as extreme as you can go pretty much lol. That's like when I'm only eating 900ish calories a day; I know the feel sort of, without the added soreness though. Careful to make sure you're getting enough micronutrients and all that. Not telling you what to do but trying to share that sometimes I notice I'll be pissed off and think it's related to simply needing any kind of food, try that but still no change, but I'll have something extremely specific, usually B vitamin loaded, then it's an instant 180 in mood.

hows the taste?
Great, I wouldn't eat it otherwise.

Gardein makes a grip of dope meat replacements. Chicken strips, chicken patties, meatballs, beef tips, fish filets (I can't even tell the difference between these and real fish), orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, black bean burgers etc.

Beyond Meat makes some great burgers and beef crumbles.

Donald Trump issues Australia Day message highlighting strong trade partnership and friendship

US President Donald Trump has issued an Australia Day message, citing the long diplomatic relationship between the two countries and saying America has "no better friend".

Acting Secretary of State Thomas Shannon Jr issued the message on behalf of Mr Trump via a statement.

"On behalf of President Trump and the American people, it is my honour to congratulate the people of Australia as you celebrate this Australia Day, 229 years after the arrival of the First Fleet at Sydney Harbour," Mr Shannon said.

"It has been over 75 years since your Commonwealth and the United States established diplomatic relations, but connections between America and Australia reach back to that fleet."

Mr Trump pulled the US out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal with Australia and 10 other nations this week, saying he wanted to boost US manufacturing.

But his Australia Day message emphasised the close financial ties between the US and Australia, as well as the ease of movement of citizens between the two countries.

"Today, travel is easier, and we are honoured to host almost 1.5 million Australians in the United States each year, with over 200,000 Australians here on any given day," Mr Shannon said.

"Half a million Americans are fortunate enough to visit your land each year.

"Today, Australia and the United States are top trade and investment partners, with $US65 billion ($86 billion) in goods and services flowing between us each year.

"The United States is responsible for over a quarter of all foreign direct investment in Australia and we are the top destination for Australian investment abroad."

"The United States has no better friend than Australia, and our longstanding alliance is a force for stability and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region and around the globe."

All good bro I always keep an open mind about it. The reason I want a more active job this year, is because I won't have to cut as much and I will be active.

I'm doing a clean bulk in our winter, so that will be fun :)

This sounded kind of dickish as I read it back lol let me rephrase.

With meat replacements don't go in comparing them to real meat. A real burger is definitely better than a veggie burger or real chicken strips are definitely better than fake ones. Go in just seeing them as a different kind of food completely. Just think of them as good food completely separate of meat.

Damn man

I know a few months ago we talked about all these products. Pretty much every time I go to the store I look at them but I'm like "nah", but it's always there in mind. Then again I haven't been eating as much meat altogether. I've been warming myself up to the idea of mostly eliminating pork / beef it and saving it for rare occasions. Salmon daily and more "cleaner" seafood than I'm consuming now, with bio-magnification in mind. Better chicken, meaning only eating small portions of tenderloin or chicken breast only. Avoiding the cheap drums and thighs that are always soaked with salt water and higher in the cruder fats. Saving wings for special occasions, not as a frequent dinner. And then with this picky eating in place and established, rotate in the meat replacements.

So basically reduce meat because I will never eliminate it, be picky about it, then cut it in half. It's been quite awhile and I haven't done it; I think the failure is just cheap spending habits at the grocery store that result in poor food decisions, which my common sense / logic won't overrule.

Also I'm going to eliminate as much as I can all the trash; they'll move into the "irresistible craving" / "Let it go" and move onto the next food decision category, be it based on nostalgia or tradition or holiday or whatever the excuse. Talking things like pepperoni and other low quality cured meat products
