that guy forgot to mention that the population of America is 330 million compared to 30 million in Canada and 22 million in Australia.
He also forgot to mention that apart of the "free" healthcare in a lot of countries with 1/10 of our population is broken as hell.
Canada's healthcare is so broken right now if you need specialization health care you can be put on a waiting list for months, in America where people bitch it's more expensive you can generally get it right away or at the most a matter of a few weeks (not months). An example is somebody in America has a heart attack 9 times out of 10 they're having a bypass surgery to fix their heart the very next day, in Canada it could be up to a year on a waiting list to have that same bypass surgery.
Sure this "free" healthcare in other countries is good for a broken arm you gotta get wrapped up or when you get the sniffles, but for bad shit the system there is so broken in places like Canada they're at an all time low on Doctors graduating from medical school and the people there are fighting to make it legal to buy their own medical insurance (because it's illegal there to purchase your own).
I'm not defending our health care by any means, but other countries with 1/10 or less the population still isn't always great systems.

over here you can buy private insurance and you actually pay more taxes if you earn more than 80k and dont have it. the "free" healthcare is not there for everyone, it is there for those who cant afford it otherwise

Those people free health care is there for how many months do they gotta wait to get specialized health care, especially since people with health insurance are no doubt cutting in line because they can pay?
I'm not as educated on other places like Australia as I am with the way Canada's works, but people in Canada die sometimes while waiting to get fixed lol

ive told this story on here before but im on medication that would cost 2k a month if i had to pay for it. there is the inconvenience of having to see a specialist every 3 months specifically to get that medication for free but a visit to the drs every 3 months is definitely a lot better than paying 2k a month or not getting treated at all.
