It appears that the next pro wrestler to jump ship into the world of MMA is Batista. He apparently has signed a two-fight deal with Strikeforce.

While out on a night in the town, Batista (real name David Batista) told the celebrity gossip site TMZ.com that he was done wrestling now that his contract with the WWE was over.

“I’m not in the WWE,” Batista stated. “No mas.”

Apparently Batista, 41, feels that he too can follow in the shoes of Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley who also made the change from pro wrestling to mixed martial arts.

When asked if he was really going to get into MMA the now former pro wrestler laughed it off while quietly saying that he’d be fighting for a certain California-based promotion.

“Strikeforce,” Batista confirmed.

The only thing he wouldn’t tell the website was who he would be fighting against or when his debut would be but he did say that he would not fight the baddest man on the planet, Fedor.

“I already know but I’m not telling you,” he said.

This guy is gonna fail, and i hope he does miserably, might have been good for Brock and Lashley cause at least they had real experience, but this guy only had experience in HIGH SCHOOL lol 20 somethin years ago

HE'S TOO OLD, STILL.... I'D TUNE IN TO ONE OF HIS FIGHTS JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY, JUST TO SEE HOW HE CAN HANDLE HIMSELF IN THE CAGE.

- Strikeforce officials are telling MMA website MMAjunkie.com that former WWE Superstar Batista has not signed with the company and there is no deal on the table for him to fight for them.

Strikeforce spokesman Mike Afromowitz told the website that Batista "definitely has not signed" with them. MMAJunkie's sources say that Batista and Strikeforce have had informal talks and the company may eventually offer him a contract.

Wasn't Kimbo some sort of internet sensation for beating the shit out of people in street fighting? And hasn't he only had one UFC fight? I don't really follow so tell me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty fucking sure Batista will cut a decent promo before he taps in round one, or gets beaten in the face in round two, to a KO.
