I noticed a lot more people on the flows board are doing audio, and a whole lot less are doing text. If anybody wants to send me their best 1 or 2 songs that they have, no matter what the quality is, for a flows board mixtape, let me know.

We're not gonna sell it or anything, but it would still be somethin cool to do. Just so we all have a copy and we can tell our friends thats who we chop it with on the boards.

If anybody's down, let me know.

^ I just record with Sonic Foundry's Acid (you can get it off of most file sharing programs), a looped beat, and a computer mic. Its not the best quality in the world, but its something.

My computer crapped out from downloading software haha I had all the stuff like reason, acid, fruity loops etc... but I could never get a mic to work. I eventually got a pretty sick virus that drilled my computer and I got a grip of pop ups so I gotta wait to get a new one before I try again

Wait wait.. Why don't you reformat the computer you have now? Don't buy a new one because of a virus, chances are you're gonna get another one on the new computer anyway.

And to get a mic to work all you have to do is plug it into the mic slot and hit record on Acid.

The computer is pretty old now anyways, like 5 years old. Out of the 5 usb's, only one works, and that's only if you plug it in before you energize the computer. The cd drive doesn't work anymore either...it's past it's time haha

It was my sound card too I believe, it wasn't the mic or the program cause I tried several different variations between mic's and programs. I wasn't getting any modulation on any of the meters I tried

You sure you didn't have the mic muted?

You also need to be sure it's set on your Volume Control panel as the recording device, rather than Line In.

I say this because soundcard problems are not this common.

But yeah if your computer is a piece of shit and you're planning on upgrading anyway, then just buy a new one. But never buy because of a virus.

also i can teach you how to have implicit quality with a computer the older version of adobe audition, cool edit pro, a $10 walmart mic, and a computer
not the best in the world, but easily almost radio quality....
