Here is the story. No where in this article is a) anything referring to anything influencing him, and b) that quote located.

Your schtick is growing very old very quickly.

A couple in their mid-60s thought some 'mean kid' in their St. Augustine neighborhood had been playing pranks on them after they found weeds and trash, then some fruit and rocks and other items in their mailbox for the past year, according to an arrest affidavit from the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.

Lately, the elderly couple, who had lived in their home for 25-years without having any problems, became increasingly alarmed after getting notes left in their yard. The notes were described by police as "profane" and specifically targeting the couple's lifestyle, according to the affidavit.

After installing a video surveillance system, the couple were able to identify the culprit after capturing his image when he returned to drop some more notes, according to the report.

The 'mean kid' turned out to be Beau James Baker, the 29-year-old son of one of their neighbors, the affidavit stated.

When cops went to his parents' home to confront Baker, they waited about 15-minutes for him to return home ... from a "church function," deputies said.

Post Miranda, Baker 'fessed up to his action, explaining to deputies that he had thought the elderly couple "lived boring lives," according to the arrest report.

Baker's life then got real exciting as deputies hauled him to the slammer.
