I saw some hellians doing this on one of those fishing shows on TNN. I think they were in Mississippi and they were crawling around the water picking out catfish. I think the catfish are sleeping when they get them. I also heard a story about a guy who was doing this, and a huge catfish bit down on his hand and he ended up with a broken hand.

I didnt click on the link, but I already know what it is. They put a box in the river, I am not sure which way it opens (facing or away from the current). Anyways, the catfish will seek refuge in the box, the hillbillies go by in their boats, put a hand down in the box to see if one is in their. If so they get under the water and put their hand down in the catfish face and usually the catfish will bite their hand/thumb. Depending on the size of the fish either one guy or a couple can throw it in the boat. I saw it done once on a fishing show, it was crazy, but they caught huge 30-60 pound catfish. The guys that caught them, made the Duke boys look cosmo.
