Not only was slavery not that long ago, it still exists. According to the UN International Labor Organization statistic on slavery, slavery in 2012 was more profitable than the US Banking system @ $150 billion vs $141.3 billion, almost a $9 billion difference; $100 billion more profitable than Google.
