Anyone use Firefox? I just switched to this yesterday after getting the about:blank spyware virus on IE. This program is the shit! I also found a hack that makes it download images about 8 times faster, my web surfing is turbo-charged now. Fuck Microsoft....

That shit kept coming back for me, I ended up doing a system restore to finally get rid of it.

To jump start the speed of Firefox ability to load pages faster, check out these settings edits.

First, type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. You'll see a bunch of settings. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a Web page at a time.
When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

Next, alter the entries as follows:

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" by right clicking on it and choosing "Toggle".
Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages much faster now!

I cant stand the way it displays the Siccness with more space between the forum names and how some sites don't work right.

A few notes...
-If you have the latest IE it has a pop up blocker.
-If you have a good antivirus IE will stay just as clean.
-You'll only notice a difference in speed if your computer doesn't have a good amount of memory because Firefox uses less memory.
-It's not exactly "safer" than IE. In a way its true but there are less people trying to exploit Firefox than IE so of course there are not going to be as many viruses.

The only pro to me is it's more customizable.
