Thats one of the things i definitely dont like about him, if no other coach is doing that shit i dont think there is a reason to wear a suit its almost like trying to show up the other teams coach but i guess since hes done it so much now that its not that big of a deal

fans of teams need to stop looking at coaches as the root problem of there team sucking....nothing and i repeat NOTHING good will come out of firing nolan midseason....

when you fire your coach midseason its a sign of EXTREME desperiation....coach/game plainning is the least of ANY teams worries.....at the end of the day all the preperration, game planning and coaching ability is all out the window if your team isnt good enough to win.....plain and mutha fuckin simple

Actually, that's one of the only things Nolan does that garners any sort of respect from me. I know this is a SPORT, but wearing the suit provides a bit of class. These are high-paid professionals. Many teams demand their players wear suits when they travel to their next game, it makes the organization look tasteful when it's employees take pride in their appearance. I commend Nolan for wearing the suit.

Other than that, fuck Mike Nolan.
Anything is better than Belichick's fat man sleeveless sweatshirt.

TRUE, JTO IS THE ONE WHO THREW THOSE PICKS AND I KNEW HE WAS GONNA THROW UM BEFORE HE EVEN DID, BUT NOLAN IS A BIG PART OF THE PROBLEM WITH HIS HORRIBLE GAME MANAGEMENT AND BEING AGRESSIVE/CONSERVATIVE AT WRONG TIMES, IF THE NINERS GET RID OF NOLAN THEN ONE PART OF THE PROBLEM IS FIXED

PLEASE. Mike Nolan's defensive strategies are the main reason teams are able to move the ball on us easily. Any coach that comes in and applies a more aggressive defensive gameplan will see instant improvement. You can't try to sit there and say nothing good will come out of Nolan being fired midseason. He is a worthless, pathetic excuse for a head coach and every week this team is unprepared to face it's opponent. With a better gameplan on defense this team could easily be a 5-1 or 4-2 team. If you think otherwise then you don't watch the games. Period.

dont watch much football huh? i still could easily say i watch more football then anyone on this board....

whether Nolan is THAT big of a deal is yet to be determined...but when you get to the point were its a POSSIBILITY that a coach can be fired midseason its not NEARLY his fault soley...

i just think niner fans are sounding like raider fans here...pointing fingers at a person and ousting em doesnt change the fact that your team isnt going to do much or werent projected to do much...they dont have enough talent at the right spots...mix in a few bad coaching mistakes...the weather...the refs....and you get the niners records....

players and the players playing as a team is what makes the record...coachs/owners/refs/weather bad luck/good luck are all factors.....but the team is soley the biggest factor

I wouldnt blame the 49ers defensive players. When half of your defensivemen are former pro bowlers (Willis, Spikes, Clements, Harris) somethings gotta be wrong with the staff and I'm definitely not pointing fingers at Singletary, but our G.M.

you're full of shit

I would think that having one of the best coaches in the NFL coach your team you would give coaches a lot more props

if Jeff Fisher and Mike Nolan switched it would make a difference
what kind of difference are we talking here?

fisher has worked MANY years to get where he is at now...building a team that can compete regularly isnt a one to two year thing.....you have to get a system going....draft year after year in that system (and make hits on draft day)....teach the kids the system and make them believe in it.....

jeff fisher wouldnt go to the niners and help them win games after 1 season...or even 2.....if he had a system going and was able to draft and pick up FA according to his system then yes maybe fisher has enough knowlege to turn ANY team around.....but to give him credit to "fix" a franchise by coming in and turning the leaf is reaching.......FAR

First of all I meant you must not watch the NINER GAMES.

On top of that, you have no way of knowing how much football anyone else on this board watches.

Yet to be determined? This is how I KNOW you don't watch Niner games. Give me a fuckin break. Who do you think you're fooling? I watch this clown every week making crucial mistakes, blowing timeouts, running a vanilla defense and NEVER adjusting when any real coach would, reviewing plays that are not even eligible to be reviewed and not reviewing plays where a fuckin receiver CLEARLY dropped the fuckin ball, calling for a 50+ yard field goal AGAINST THE WIND just for it to be short (like everyone KNEW it would be, except Nolan) and having the defender catch it and run 109 yards for a fuckin touchdown, kicking field goals when we're down by 14 with just over 2 minutes left to play.. I CAN GO ON AND ON.

Niner fans sounding like raider fans? EVEN RAIDER FANS AGREE WITH US. Being a fan of the Titans, I don't expect you to understand the hatred between Niner and raider fans, but when we agree upon something then that's something to take a look at.

You wanna know how much difference a coach can make? Last season we had the worst offense in the league under Hostler. We couldn't move the ball, we couldn't put points on the board and I don't think we controlled the clock in a single game last year. Under Martz we move the ball, put up points and can control the clock. Also, when Ted Tollner was brought in toward the end of the year to help Hostler, our offense saw IMMEDIATE improvement. Why? Because Tollner actually knew what the fuck he was doing. Hostler did not. Mike Nolan DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK HE IS DOING. Bring in someone who does and we'll see immediate improvement.

It's funny because even most analysts know Mike Nolan is the main problem in SF and when a real coach comes in the team will drastically improve. But I guess since you "watch more football than anyone" you have more knowledge, right?

Give me a break.
